Gone are the days when your wedding venue choice was limited to church or registry office.  Whilst these options remain popular, an increasing number of castles, stately homes and hotels are applying for civil licenses.  Great news for couples who now have a huge choice of locations for their wedding, and no more so in Cornwall where we’re blessed with amazing buildings, architecture and locations.  On the beach, at a cliff’s edge (not literally!), under a gazebo overlooking the sea, in a cave, a country house or a castle.  Yep, these are all options for your Cornish wedding.

Sadly, the law still remains that you can’t get married outside in the true sense, however some venues have got around this by offering an arbor or gazebo, classed as a permanent structure, meaning you can indeed breathe the fresh air as you exchange your vows.

Cornwall Council’s website has a really informative area for marriages, including a list of all of their registered premises, fees and how to book.  I thought I’d just have a look through the list to get an idea of what’s on offer, and got a bit engrossed, actually (hence the late post today, sorry about that!).  So here’s a little taster of what you have to choose from…
